Concerto Competition

Katie is a 14 year old sophomore at Staples High School in Westport. She is a student of Asya Meshberg of Darien. She has played with the Norwalk Youth Symphony for 5 years, was the concertmaster in the Philharmonia Orchestra and has been a member of the principal orchestra since 2009. She is currently the concertmaster of Staples[Staples High School Sophomore Orchestra and plays first violin in the Staples Chamber Orchestra. She is currently playing in the Spectrum String Quartet. Katie was a finalist last year.

Katie Zhou - Violin

She is a student at the Juilliard School of Music Pre-College Division and studies cello with Andre Emelianoff. She placed first in the New York Music Competition and in the University of CT Cello Festival in 2011. She also perform in the Young Artists Concert Series in 2006, 2007 and 2011. Isabella is 15 years old.

She is 15 years old. Emily is the current principal cello of the Norwalk Youth Symphony Chamber Orchestra and assistant principal cello of the Western Regional Orchestra. She is also principal cello of the New Canaan High School Orchestra, and currently studies with Lois Errante.

She is also 15 years old and lives in Stratford. Julianna attended the Meadowmount School of Music and the Waterville Valley Chamber Music Center. She studies violin with Dr. Ann Setzer and Stephan Tieszen. Juliana is presently a member of the Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestra and was a member of the New Haven Contemporary Youth Orchestra in 2012. She placed first in the PTSA Reflections Program Musical Composition category for the State of CT and placed second in the JC Yale School of Music Solo Competition.
